Having a very small physical size and weight the new SM-Ring shock mount provides the same perfect isolation from stand and floor noise as all big shock mounts do.
The new shock mount has 16 elastic bands, isolating physically the microphone from its stand and filtering the undesirable noises to an extent of approximately 15 dB. At the same time it does not load the boom of your microphone stand with heavy weight and reduce the risk of stand’s fall.
